SACHIN DHANAWADE, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO), RETAIL & REAL ESTATE, GRAUER & WEIL (INDIA) LIMITED

Sachin has over 21 years of extensive Retail, Hospitality & Shopping Centre industry experience, having worked with Oberoi Mall, Cross Roads, the First Mall of Mumbai and Virtuous Retail South Asia Private Limited. At Oberoi Mall, Sachin was instrumental in formulating SOPs for operations, security and retailer lease management, launching the customer loyalty program and reducing (and maintaining) the common area maintenance per square foot charges, substantially without compromising on the operating standards.

At Virtuous Retail, Sachin was instrumental in turning around their flagship shopping centres – VR Surat and VR Punjab. He played a significant role in the pre-operations of VR Chennai and stabilising VR Bengaluru as well as successfully driving the P&L’s of VR Punjab and VR Chennai, contributing to the 70% of Virtuous Retail NOI portfolio.

Sachin Dhanawade has also worked for the Food & Beverage industry, before getting into the Shopping Centre industry. He was a part of the core team for Pizza Hut (Yum brands-Mumbai) for close to 7 years.

Sachin has been consistently recognised as the Most Influential Shopping Centre Professionals in 2016, 2017 and 2018 at Pan India Level by Asia-Africa-GCC Retail & Shopping Centres, Congress & Awards. He was rewarded as the ‘Top Retail Minds’ in the year 2019-20 by ET Now.

Sachin is an alumnus of Rizvi College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology and a post-graduate in Business Administration and Retail Management from WE School (Prin. L.N.Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research) Mumbai.
