PANKAJ RENJHEN, COO, VIRTUOUS RETAIL
Pankaj Renjhen heads the overall Operations and P&L responsibility of the Virtuous Retail portfolio with 8.3 million sq.ft across six shopping centres in five cities, one of the largest institutional owned shopping centre platform in India. He is over all responsible for operations, Leasing, Finance & Accounts, Marketing, Human Resource, Legal and Information Technology functions.
Pankaj comes with over 22 years of real estate experience and has advised leading corporate, occupiers, investors and developers across India on their real estate strategy with hands-on, professional expertise in development advisory, concept planning, site acquisitions, disposals, transaction structuring, investment advisory, leasing, marketing, operations, business development, valuations, financial analysis and research in the Indian real estate sector.
Pankaj’s previous assignment at JLL was in the role of Managing Director and Head of Retail services with responsibility of driving growth and giving strategic direction of JLL’s retail business across the Indian subcontinent. Prior to this, he was the MD, North India Region and was responsible for the company’s growth and business in North India Region which covers the Northern India market. He was also part of the Asia Pacific Board of Retail for JLL.
Rohit George, Managing Director, Virtuous Retail South Asia
Rohit George is the Managing Director and Executive Director on the Board of Virtuous Retail South Asia –VRSA is based in Singapore. Virtuous Retail South Asia is one of India’s leading institutional owner, developer and operator of premium, community oriented lifestyle destinations.
Prior to Virtuous Retail South Asia, Rohit was the Managing Director at Xander Retail Partners based in Singapore overseeing Xander’s Retail and Shopping Centre investment portfolio. Before Xander Retail Partners, Rohit spent a tenure of 7 years with Xander India where he was last the Managing Director based in Bangalore overseeing the retail and shopping centre portfolio and real estate investments in South India.
Rohit has served on the boards of Xander Finance, Xander Advisors India, Kidzania India and a number of other Xander Investee Companies.
Prior to his tenure with Xander, he co-founded Greenbox Realty, a retail infrastructure development company based in Bengaluru, which he sold to a leading Indian conglomerate.
From 2005 to 2007, he worked at Avendus Capital in the technology and real estate groups advising numerous clients on Mergers and Acquisitions and Capital Raising and from 2001 to 2003, he worked at GE Capital’s financial assurance group.
Rohit holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, and is a Honours graduate in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
