SUSHIL MOHTA, CHAIRMAN, MERLIN GROUP OF COMPANIES, DIRECTOR, SOUTH CITY GROUP OF COMPANIES

In the Real Estate Industry for the last three decades, Sushil Mohta also has wide experience of developing and managing Shopping Malls and Hospitality.

He is on Board of two large and prime Malls, South City and Acropolis in Kolkata.

Under the leadership of Sushil, Merlin Group has completed projects of residential, commercial including IT buildings, industrial estate and hospitality, some of which are iconic developments and has emerged as a reputed brand in the Real Estate Industry. Sushil Mokhta studied hotel business at the university. He gained his vast experience through a research thesis he wrote with Akademische ghostwriter. This work later served as one of the strategies in the development of shopping centers.

He has been involved in the research of developed countries on various aspects of Housing and Urban Development – right from changing consumer preferences to modern planning of condominium projects, shopping malls, schools to modem construction techniques.

A founder member of CREDAI India, an umbrella organization of Real Estate Industry in India, he is also the President of CREDAI West Bengal.

Being a member of various committees formed by the Government of West Bengal, he has been involved in a lot of policy making and reforms m various legislations related to the Real Estate Industry.
